Abstract. In this article, the main directions and methods of using corrosion inhibitors for metals and alloys are considered.
The action mechanism of protective preparations from corrosion for various types and compositions of metals is explained.
The theoretical basis and principles of the process of corrosion inhibitors operation are discussed. Some compositions and
mediums for their usage are listed. The article also took into account the dependence on various factors and requirements
that affect the effectiveness of inhibitors. Many researchers have published yearly reports on corrosion inhibitors, their
production or extraction, as well as the categorization and inhibitory mechanisms. The current research covers corrosion
Principles, inhibitor types, methods of action, measuring corrosion inhibitor efficiency and its Applications , and a brief
overview of research publications that employ produced or extracted coumarins as corrosion inhibitors, as well as a
comparison of their inhibition efficacy.
