T. Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, AL-Qadisiyah University, Iraq. ahmed.ejel@qu.edu.iq ABSTRACT Purpose: The goal of this study is to evaluate the application of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System at Al-Diwaniyah Rubber Factory, the most important industrial establishment in Iraq in the rubber and tyres production. Design \/ Methodology \/ Approach: The researcher uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive method. The quantitative method is conducted using data from questionnaires with a 7-point Likert scale, much like the qualitative approach, which can be done through interviews. Customer focus, leadership commitment, performance evaluation, improvement, and nonconformity monitoring, along with other evaluations, are key elements of ISO 9001:2015. Research Limitation: The research examined a single industrial company, which may limit the generalisability of the results to other industrial sectors or regions. Findings: The study found that the conformity of the company system was 82.62% while the \u01e5ap rate was 27.4%. Organisational context (91.6%) and non-conformity (88.9%), mostly related to the plant’s technical maturity and discipline, reflect a good level of compliance. The performance evaluation (63.3%) and planning and support (62.5%) checks had the lowest scores. This is mainly due to poor documentation, limited employee training, and weak leadership engagement. Practical Implication: Enhancing leadership engagement, developing a systematic documentation process and improving employee competency are vital for certification readiness. Social Implication: Improved operational processes associated with ISO standards also tend to enhance workplace safety, reduce waste, and promote more consistent working conditions, thereby benefiting employee welfare. Originality \/ Value: The study provides a useful framework that could assist Iraqi manufacturing organisations in evaluating their readiness for certification and diagnosing weak areas in their operations before ISO accreditation.
